“Kindness in words create confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates “
~ Lao Tzu
Unlike licensed therapists and physicians, our Center cannot accept any form of health insurance. This represents a big dilemma for clients, with limited financial resources — the disadvantaged, the unemployed, the homeless, single parents, the destitute addict...
Many of these clients come to the Center, seeking help with the management of emotional and physical conditions such as war veterans with PTSD, clinical depression, rape, bipolar disorders, fibromyalgia, sciatica, and chronic pain...
As a gesture of compassion, Dr. Casellas has set up a sliding-payment scale so that these clients can avail themselves of the mindfulness treatment modalities offered at the Center. In spite of this, a considerable number of these clients are only able to pay but just a few dollars.
It has come to the point that this situation is seriously affecting the Center's ability to cover its overhead expenses, and we may have to stop providing services to those who cannot pay.
To resolve this dilemma, the Center has established this Scholarship Fund.
If you are in a position to help these clients, any contribution that you could make to this fund will be sincerely appreciated. The funds will be deposited into an account to be used solely for this purpose.
It is important to note that since our Center is not a qualified charitable organization (IRS Code 501(c)(3), your contribution may not be tax-deductible. The Center is registered as a sole proprietorship (I-2012-01094) under the laws of the State of California.
On behalf of those who need your help, “Thanks for your kindness!
